Holika Holika: Egg soaps, a first impression

The set of soaps that I bought had one of each of the eggs in it.

  • White - Tightens pore and makes skin sleek
  • Green - Controls excessive sebum and moisturizes
  • Orange - Cleans out dirt in pores
  • Black - Suitable for sensitive skin and removes blackheads

I didn’t have the translations to what every egg does when I opened it up so I picked one at random; the black one, because it seemed the most interesting.

I’ve only been back from Korea since Tuesday and I only used it once a day since then, when I shower. But there is DEFINITELY a massive improvement with both my complexion and the texture of my skin. It’s softer and smoother to the touch, a lot of the bumpiness on my cheeks is totally gone.

The point is to lather up a foam on you hands and rub it into your face. You can then either wash it off immediately, or wear the foam like a face mask for 10 minutes or so before washing off. I only applied and then washed off immediately after, so I find the effect it’s had pretty damn amazing.

I bought these things on a whim because of their cute packaging, but if the rest work just as well these are becoming a permanent addition to my bathroom. I’ll also comment on long-term use when I’ve used them for a few weeks.

According to some other reviews I looked up, they can be a bit pricey to buy internationally so I hope these last me until next time!
